Fridays is a rest day on my training plan. No running, no cross-training. However, I may use it as a day for stretching or try out yoga.
Why yoga? Well...this past week I was watching the show "The Biggest Loser" with Sherry. Right before one of the commercial breaks, one of the trainers showed the downward dog yoga pose. I tried it and couldn't get my heels on the ground. YIKES! I think it is time for me to work on my flexibility if I'm going to avoid injury. I'll see if I can do one of Sherry's yoga videos tonight after the kids go to sleep.

Too funny...I do yoga every Friday. I hope you love it as much as I do :-)
Found your blog on Complete Running. We're big fans of Biggest Loser, and I too am unable to get my heels on the florr yet doing the Downward Dog. Guess I'll keep trying. You're absolutely correct that flexibility is important in preventing injury.
